Our Story
TUFC Furniture & Home is a family-run furniture business based in Wales, built on a simple belief: quality furniture shouldn’t cost a fortune.
A few years ago, after purchasing our first home, we quickly realised just how expensive quality furniture can be. Like many families, we wanted stylish, comfortable furniture without paying the eye-watering prices often seen on the high street, where some sofas can cost £3,000 or more.
We believed families deserved better value without compromising on quality, and that’s where our journey began.
Originally, TUFC stood for The Used Furniture Company. We started by sourcing, restoring and refurbishing used furniture, giving quality pieces a second life and helping customers furnish their homes at affordable prices. The name stuck, and although many people think TUFC sounds like a football club, we decided to keep it because it was memorable and had become part of our story.
In the early days, TUFC was something we built around our part-time jobs. We spent countless evenings and weekends searching for stock, meeting customers and growing the business one piece at a time. Our passion for furniture and customer service continued to grow, and in January 2025 we made the decision to go all in and pursue TUFC full-time.
As the business grew, so did our product range. We expanded into brand-new sofas and made-to-order furniture, big branded sofas as well as still selling the odd few refurbished sofas, working with fantastic suppliers who share our commitment to quality, value and customer satisfaction. These partnerships allow us to offer beautiful furniture at competitive prices while maintaining the personal service that has always been at the heart of TUFC.
Fast forward to today and we’re proud to have helped over 100 customers across Wales and England find the perfect sofa for their home. We’re also proud to have built a loyal community, with over 6,500 followers on social media and a 98% customer recommendation rate on Facebook. And 100% recommendation rate on google.
In June 2026, we reached another exciting milestone by opening our first showroom. While it’s still a small showroom, it’s a place where customers can come and browse, ask questions, see products in person and have a friendly chat about their furniture needs. We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and while we have ambitions to move into larger premises in the future, we believe in growing the right way. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
